The Redeem Team

This beat is hot fire, and I can't wait to see some sick highlights put to this music. Produced by Just Blaze, I think it is a Perfect selection as a team anthem with a truly Epic yet still Gangsta Hip Hop feel. Well played Sir. Well played.

Return to Greatness

Click photo to read article about Obama as he begins his work in uniting the world. It is truly amazing the way he delivers such straight-forward talk about the state of the world and how it can change for the better, and makes it seem so simple...and maybe it is.

Christian the Lion

HAHAHAHAHA, I don't know if any video has ever made me laugh so hard...whilst at the same time oddly making me want to cry....truly one of a kind.
*Favorite part of the video is at 00:49 when Christian reaches out to the other guy to show some love.

Travis Barker is the fucking Man

Youtube video's of Travis Barker drumming to Flo-Rida's - Low and Soulja Boys - Crank That showed the world how well this guys talents meshed with hip hop. Well, apparently The Game was paying attention. The former Blink 182 drummer goes full fledged gangsta in this perfomance clip....I'm not calling his bluff, are you?

Michael Jackson returns?!?!?!?!

There have been numerous MJ "comebacks" over the years. None of them have worked out all that well. I don't know if Mike can really comeback at this point, but based off of this song, he can still supply his legendary vocals in the background of an Akon song and make it that much better. Youtube is sure to pull this video soon so enjoy, and then find it for yourself.... AKON FEAT MICHAEL JACKSON - HOLD MY HAND(remix)

Ladies, show me your knickers!

I have been on the prowl for that next wave of summer music to keep the ball moving. Jigga is busy tearing up the UK. Weezy is chillin on cloud 9 after taking his rightful spot on the throne. Kanyeezie is busy playing dress up. So, below we have The Game meshin up with Travis Barker for a straight up West Coast production. THIS SHIT BANGS. The Game certainly isn't turning any heads with his lyrical content, but has miraculously found his own niche. Not to mention, he is the ONLY west coast rap artist out there at this point, with the exception of course of Snoop....."WHAT'S UP!"

'MY SHOES COST MORE THEN YOUR HOUSE!!!"

Our newest obsession????........ Ric Flair. I've been incorporating the Ric Flair Walk/Woo into my daily life as of late, and the results have been astounding. As a matter of fact, I've spent entire days trying to act like the man in the video below, borrowing quotes, mannerisms, and straight bravado. It's simple, just insert these random self-glorifying quotes into your day at any point, and great things happen. I.E. "Lets be realistic for a minute... Am I cooking hot? I mean take a look at this."

"I don't care where the city is, when you know Nick Smith's in town, WOOOOOO!!! things are taking place."

I GOT A LIMOUSINE SITTING OUT THERE A MILE LONG, WITH 25 WOMEN JUST DYING FOR ME TO GO 'WOOOOO'!"
Well, guess what, there is a plethora of youtube gems featuring the "man who wears 10 pounds of Gold." Here is just a lil something to hold you over. Enjoy.

Gotta not be cliche. Gotta stand out like Andre 3-K

Even Stevie Wonder got down sometimes
So now that Weezy has gone and done what we'd been waiting so long for him to due, it is time to turn our attention back to the always creative Andre 3000. The first 2 and a half minutes of this song come off as a halfway decent radio single(go ahead and fast foward on the first listen), until minute 2:53 when the Atlanta native shows why he stands out.
I heard you when you told your girl "ooo he can get it"
admit it
you did it
lets hop a cab and split it
I'm kiddin
we both going to where you livin
HA, I got you gigglin like I'm piglet
oh thats the ticket?

And it begins....

THE ultimate voice in movie reviews, Peter Travers, has just posted his review to THE ultimate movie of the year. In the same way that The Carter III lived up to the hype, it appears as though The Dark Knight will be following a similar path to classic status.
"I can only speak superlatives of Ledger, who is mad-crazy-blazing brilliant as the Joker. Miles from Jack Nicholson's broadly funny take on the role in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman, Ledger takes the role to the shadows, where even what's comic is hardly a relief. No plastic mask for Ledger; his face is caked with moldy makeup that highlights the red scar of a grin, the grungy hair and the yellowing teeth of a hound fresh out of hell. To the clown prince of crime, a knife is preferable to a gun, the better to "savor the moment."
........ummmm, can you say Fucking Sweet?!?!?

Ne-Yo and Jabawockeez

Yeah, so that is a pic of some disgusting chick and Neyo at a bar...in other news,Check out Ne-Yo's BET Awards performance. Jabawockeez's make an appearance at 3:04...I know what you're saying, "Watch Ne-Yo?!?! Go fuck yourself Nick!", but there's some sweet dance moves so check it out. Click HERE to watch.

I ROBOT

Remember in Rocky IV, when Rock buys Paulie that totally sweet mid-80's Robot for his BDAY? Well, 23 years later, it looks like the world has finally caught up with Stallone's vision of the future. How much longer until I can get my hoverboard?

Here it is....

The showdown of all showdowns begins tonight. It is hard to imagine this series not living up to the hype. In all honesty, this video is nothing thats gonna blow your mind, but I don't exactly have the spare time to comprise my own highlight-reel-montage with stadium-music, so this vid is just gonna have to do. It should at least get your blood flowing. Prediction - Lakers in 7 (if not 6)

Burger King/ Jesters Playground B-Day Party

WOW. As a youngin, having your B-day party at B.K.-Jester's Courtyard was pretty much as good as it got. I myself never had such a party held in my honor, but was lucky enough to have attended a few. While jumping in the plastic ball pit and shooting some skee-ball were always a blast, the highlight of the evening was always the electrifying performance put on by the electronic stage animals. Well, some things never change.

Is this the Greatest "Rap" Album Ever?

Bold Statement? It would be much too early to attach any labels to Weezy F. Baby's baby this early, but as I continue to digest song after song, I'm amazed at the one-of-a-kind sound/feel this Album has. Regardless of where it ever ends up on some MTV/Rolling Stone list, this Record is most definitely Outstanding. Coming Soon - a track by track breakdown of the most important American album of the year. For right now, the track "Tie my Hands" featuring Robin Thicke is one of the most exceptional songs on the Album. I can not think of one other Hip Hop song that can illicit as much soul as this one. One of the biggest holes in hip hop music has always been the lack of quality songs that discuss or even acknowledge with any form of intelligence or true emotion the current events of the world(DMX didn't even know a black man was running for President for Fucks sakes, and name one song about 9/11 that future generations could ever look back on as a testament to the mental state of the country from 2001-2004)??? Well, New Orleans own Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. composes a truly beautiful poem about a truly awful tragedy. This, ladies and gentleman, is a socially relevant hip hop song. Believe it.

Skate or Die

What a video. New Spike Jonze directed Skate vid intro. It speaks for itself.

"It's simple, Kill the Batman."

More exclusive footage. More Joker. More instantly Classic quotes. It's really getting ridiculous at this point...I need to see this movie.

Meet Ryan Leslie

What a talent. Ryan Leslie's production video's are total entertainment. Enjoy watching the magic happen. A well known producer, Leslie attempts to establish himself as a solo artist ala Kanye. Above he composes "Addictiion". Make use of the links below. Get in the know.
Ryan Leslie creates "Sometimes"
Ryan Leslie creates "I gets money"
Ryan Leslie plays "Valentine"

FYI - Leslie scored a perfect 1600 on his SAT's when he was 15, and graduated from Harvard University at the age of 19.

Yeah - I like that

At this point, stating that Lil Wayne is the best MC in the game is about as groundbreaking as claiming you are going to vote for a Black President. However, this new Lollipop remix with Kanye holds quite a bit of significance for Mr. Weezy F. Baby. Shortly after the release of "Barry Bonds", Kanyeezie and Waynes first collabo, heads in the know where suggesting that Weezy's verse on the track was actually bested by Kanye's. Wayne was even asked about this in Complex magazine...
“I think he did too, meaning his verse was better. Yeah but I’m going to get him. ‘Ye killed me on that song. I was tight because I was like it could be way hotter than this. So when I heard his verse I was like “oh, we doing this again.” I done it twice, they got two different versions. I done one and I ain’t hear his verse and I done the other one after I heard his verse and even when I finished I said why don’t you let him be the man of song. Meaning that it was needed and what I’ve done nobody else can do it.”
Well, worry not, Wayne absolutely murders the two verses on the remix to his first #1 single. After listening to his free-conscious-flow on this track, it is once again easy to claim Wayne the Best Rapper Alive.

Most Anticipated Movie of my Lifetime

I saw Iron Man last night. Sweet robot fighting was a perfect way to start off the Summer movie season. (The Lithuanian girl sitting next to me throughout the flick wasn't quite as entertained.) Robert Downey Jr. is simply The Man as Tony Stark, and the suit is totally bad-ass. But you all already knew this. While some people appear to be buying into the Indiana Jones hype, I could really give two fucks. I wanna see that flick about as much as I wanted to see Pirates of the Caribbean 1-3.(Don't believe the hype) There is a much grander film headed our way this year. A movie that transcends Summer Superhero hype and has the potential to be an American-Movie-Classic in the truest sense of the term.(Not the TV station) Batman-The Dark Knight. The Heath Ledger factor puts this movie in a whole-nother level of cinematic significance. No other actor is going to be able to come near the role of The Joker for a very-very-very long time. Heath Ledger goes all-in on this one, and I'm willing to bet this film will destroy box-office records, along with earning Heath Ledger the Oscar he is more than deserving of.

Don't Wake the Lion

Last week when I attended the Boston Massacre of the Cavaliers(Game 2), Lebron James looked more out of his element then Donny in the Big Lebowski. After a horrid start in Game 1, I thought for sure King James would have a big game 2...that did not happen. Pelted with chants of "over-rated" the entire game, the Celtics appeared to have far too many weapons for the Cav's. Well, the clip above helps demonstrate that this series is far from over...the Lion has awoken.

"Proof" of my attendance of Game 2, Celtics vs. Cavs is HERE. Got "Attend NBA playoff Game" off the bucket list. Also, got to witness 2 MVP candidates in the same game. Must see Kobe.

American Psychos

See more funny videos at CollegeHumor

The movie American Psycho has developed into quite the cult hit. Over the past few years, it has been increasingly quoted and referenced within my inner circles. I'm not here to write a review, but for those of you who are unfamiliar, I advise you to get in the know. For those of you who've watched the film and don't see what all the jazz is about, well... go fuck yourself... hysterical spoof video of classic 'business card' scene above...Enjoy.

Mike at his Baddest

Video of Mike on the Bad tour in Australia circa '87. This is probably my favorite MJ outfit of all time. The belt is straight ridiculous. As always, being the ultimate showman that he is, Mike ends it on a highnote with a sick Robot routine....
Imagine if there was footage of MJ, James Brown and Prince all sharing the same stage? How sick would that be? Oh wait, that footage DOES exist, and it is right HERE ....HEAVEN

The Illusionist

Great news to report today as David Blaine has successfully conquered the world record for holding one's breath. New Record = 17 mins. and 4 seconds. Oh, and he did it on the Oprah Winfrey show, cuzzzz... why not? I have been fascinated with Blaine since his first ABC television special featuring former BFF Leonardo Dicaprio. That was over 10 years ago now. While many people were none too impressed with his last underwater/breath holding attempt, I found it to be a spectacular piece of street art. Much to write about Blaine but for now I leave you with these popular Blaine spoofs most of you in the know have already seen HERE.

SUNDAY FOOTBALL

"Hi, my name's Nick, and I like the Dolphins."
-----While looking through Dolphin pic's I find this. ok. Be sure to due yourself a favor and click on photo to view the Grown-Ass-Man size pic.

Awkwardly Awesome video of Zach Thomas supermannin it

HIGHLIGHTS

00:01 - We enter a world where former Miami Dolphin golden boy Zach Thomas is a crowd favorite-dance performer.
00:26 - Zachary goes all in. He is now at 100% Soulja Boy, a stunt he performs several times.
00:37 - "WoWWWW! The whole thing he's DoiNGGGG" - states Mystery Man in the background. Listen to this line over and over for stronger dose. *Clearly best scene.
01:08 - Zachary begins to feel a little lost. He has been dancing for over 60 seconds and is a bit out of his element, or so I presume. What does he do?
01:15 - Zach begins signing autographs.
01:26 - Zachary begins a new chapter of his interpretive dance routine. Things heat up quickly.
01:32 Zach's walkoff performance...a "flex-jimmy/straight-sex/guitar-solo"...One final crank to the left, crank to the right, and Zach gets back to work Autograph Producing.
*Now watch 3 times and come back tomorrow.

BE LIKE MIKE

Bukowski

BLUEBIRD
there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too tough for him,
I say, stay in there, I'm not going
to let anybody see
you.
there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I pour whiskey on him and inhale
cigarette smoke
and the whores and the bartenders
and the grocery clerks
never know that
he's
in there.
there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too tough for him,
I say,
stay down, do you want to mess
me up?
you want to screw up the
works?
you want to blow my book sales in
Europe?
there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too clever, I only let him out
at night sometimes
when everybody's asleep.
I say, I know that you're there,
so don't be
sad.
then I put him back,
but he's singing a little
in there, I haven't quite let him
die
and we sleep together like
that
with our
secret pact
and it's nice enough to
make a man
weep, but I don't
weep, do
you?

The Greatest Bar (in the history of the world)

Aight, so long story short, this is a video that was done by Dirty Water TV(a local TV show in Boston) reviewing "The Greatest Bar", a spot in Downtown Boston my buddy Benny Blanco promotes/manages. He asked me to come through and tear up the dance floor...Needless to say I left blood on the walls AKA Murdered it. I make my cameo appearances at 00:23 , and the Grand Hat Finale is at 3:22. Your Welcome....Also, there is several unintentionally hysterical moments in this video, one of them occurring at the 3:15 mark. Enjoy.

Blu Colla Worker

This song is solid and as a blue collar worker, I relate.

Rolling Stones - Shine a light

I had the day off yesterday and went with some new Boston Brohan's to Harvard Square for an afternoon showing of the new Scorsese meets the Stones feature - Shine a Light. Spectacular. Peter Travers gives a great write up HERE
Mick Jagger is still a beast. Scene stealer is definitely Champagne and Reefer ( a Muddy Waters cover) with Buddy Guy.

Hova getting political.

I had the chance to go to the Jay-Z/Mary J. concert when he came to the Boston Garden a few weeks back, but unfortunately I was on my death bed at the time. Don't feel like I missed much (I've seen Hov live already), but I am happy to see hip hop artists finally going out on tour with a live band. Now, as for Kanye's Glow in the Dark tour, I have to attend this spectacle. More Behind the scenes pics HERE

The Whole World is Awaiting...

Anyone who knows me knows how I feel about Weezy F. Baby. Needless to say I love this Album Art.

Hello World

Hello. This site is my new mission. What it will become is still a mystery. But I will be using it as my outlet to all of you. Whatever I am listening to, reading, watching, living, loving, attempting, and/or creating will exist here. Welcome.
